Postal Strike!!
.
Yesterday, the 38,000 unionized members of Canada Post walked off the job, just one hour after the company had ordered them all locked out.  What does this mean for students?  Scholarship applications will need to be sent by courier, along with all other official documents.  If you have mailed an application anywhere, check to see if it has arrived, and courier another copy if it has not.  You can call 1-800-GO-FEDEX or 1-800-PICK-UPS for Federal Express and United Parcel Service.

Why is this strike happening?  It's purely a benefits issue, according to CFRB.  This is most definitely not a statement against the provincial government, as Canada Post is a federal organization.
