The semi-formal dance of last Friday was the most successful dance to date,
the SAC confirmed today. "We broke 300!" an excited Kevan Ghadery
told us, "for the first time this year." In fact, this is the first
time in recent history that the coveted 300 attendee mark was surpassed.
"It looks like, with pop sales, we've made money on this one" Vice-President
Jason Wilson told us. That's only happened once before in the last
two years.
At the dance, Laura Kelland and Glenn Hagan were voted Queen and King
by a slim margin, and were crowned in a ceremony at the stroke of 10:00.
The floor was cleared, and the two shared a dance under the glow of the
two video screens.
Special thanks are owed to the courageous members of OSAID, Adam Doyle,
Wendy Rynard, Alison Cotie, and Aimee Campbell, who tackled the nearly
insurmountable task of checking all 300+ coats, many of which had to be
moved to another room in order to make room for more.
